Celebrating Your Heirlooms

by jbash

This fall photographer Pamela Wessel and I will be releasing two gift books with guided reflection about the treasures and commemorative effects in your own jewelry box. Inspired by our search to return the lost 33 Bit bracelet to its owner, we hope you will chronicle your precious effects. Proceeds will benefit both UNICEF and Doctors Without Borders.

The Big 598

by jbash

I really detest SPAM. You folks who share my sensitive heart would be as shocked as I with the content of the SPAM coming into the 33 Bits Blog. We had 598 various posts unrelated to our worthy project. Perhaps some people are so lonely they welcome this sort of attention. We, quite frankly, do NOT.

Dan Aykroyd in San Antonio

by jbash

I was pleased to meet former SNL’s Dan Aykroyd this week and give him both the book and a personal invitation to join our project. While it may be a long shot, people are genuinely curious about this effort. I have high hopes Mr. Aykroyd will come through and help somehow. Congratulations offered for the launch of Dan’s Crystal Head from all the folks on the 33 Bits team!

Next Book Drop in England

by jbash

Our thanks to Jason Hooper of JJH designs in Austin for supplying our next drop spot for book donations to England.  Jason, also from England, was one of the juried artists featured at the Fiesta Art Show in San Antonio Texas. Check out his work at  www.jjhooper.com   (I bought two of his wonderful selections!)

Goldmasters & 33 Bits support UNICEF

by jbash

I just spoke to a wonderful volunteer from UNICEF trying to solidify more funds for their many international efforts. While I wish those of us involved in the 33 Bits project could send regular amounts, I am sure you all appreciate that like donations, our sales change month to month. We appreciate whatever we can do to help them. Can you also? And by the way, if you hear of anyone looking for their lost charm bracelet, would you please send them our way?

Searching in Straw

by jbash

I understand how slim the odds are of finding the owner. Nevertheless, so many people believe I can find her. It’s so encouraging when I hear people say they will spread the word about our project. I love even more when people ask, “How can I help?” We continue to send books into England and aspire to get better publicity in that region.
